Data Deletion Instructions

1. Identify who controls your data

If you provided information to an education consultancy that uses Consularly, that consultancy normally controls the relevant workspace and should be your first contact. It can identify your record and decide whether information must be retained for a lawful reason. Consularly assists the consultancy with verified deletion requests.

2. Submit a deletion request

1. Contact the consultancy directly, or email info@consularly.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request.”
2. State which consultancy or Consularly workspace you interacted with and describe the information or account you want deleted.
3. Provide only the minimum information needed to locate the record. Do not email passwords, identity-document copies, payment-card details, or access tokens.
4. Complete identity or authority verification if requested. Verification protects data from unauthorized deletion.

We or the relevant consultancy will acknowledge a verified request and provide an outcome within the period required by applicable law. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, financial records, or another lawful obligation. Residual backup copies expire through normal backup-retention cycles.

3. Remove Facebook or Instagram access

1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
2. Open Apps and websites.
3. Select Consularly and choose Remove.
4. Follow Facebook's confirmation steps to revoke the connection.

Revoking access stops future access through that authorization. It does not necessarily delete information already stored for a consultancy, so submit a deletion request as described above if you also want stored records reviewed for deletion.

4. Meta data-deletion callback

Meta may send an authenticated deletion request to the following production callback when a user removes Consularly:

The callback returns a confirmation code and status URL. Requests are subject to signature validation and the same identity, retention, and legal-obligation checks described above.

5. What deletion can cover

Depending on your relationship with a customer and applicable retention requirements, a verified request may cover account profile data, inquiry records, messages, uploaded files, integration identifiers, and related activity. Aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you may be retained.
